Welcome to TruVision
What to Know Before Your First Visit
At TruVision Eye Care, we aim to make your experience as smooth and efficient as possible. To streamline your first visit, we encourage all new patients to complete the necessary intake forms ahead of time by using the links provided above. This allows us to provide you with a more personalized and timely appointment.
About Pupil Dilation
As part of a comprehensive eye exam, we may perform pupil dilation using eye drops to thoroughly assess the internal health of your eyes. This is essential for detecting conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and ocular melanomas—many of which can impact long-term vision.
Please note: dilation can cause temporary blurry vision and light sensitivity lasting 4–6 hours. If any medical eye conditions are found during your exam, your medical insurance will be billed accordingly. If you’re uncomfortable driving afterward, please arrange for transportation. Alternatively, we offer OPTOS retinal imaging—an advanced, non-dilated option for evaluating retinal health.
What to Bring
To ensure a thorough and accurate evaluation, please bring the following items to your appointment:
- All eyeglasses and contact lenses you currently wear (including sunglasses)
- A list of current medications
- Your medical and vision insurance cards
- A valid photo ID
This information helps our doctor assess any vision changes and make the most precise recommendations possible.
